The one thing that I like best about an Italian wedding is that when you’re here, you’re family. Oh, wait a minute – that’s Olive Garden’s line. But I’ll have to borrow it because works here, too.
Being at Rachele and Mike’s wedding was like being with my own family. This was the third wedding that we have photographed for the Stallone family. They are just the nicest family. Always concerned that everyone is having a great time. It’s like hearing my grandma, “Jay, make sure you eat”!
Rachele and Mike’s reception was a Boca Grove Country Club, in Boca Raton. Italians know how to throw a party, with more food than you can imagine. I am sure that anyone driving by the club could smell all the delicious food.
You know when you see a couple and say to yourself, “this couple belongs together”? That is what anyone would say when seeing Ashton and Trevor together. They just fit. And they must have done something right in their previous lives, because their wedding day was just too perfect!
It started with an unpredictable cold front, which cooled down our HOT South Florida just right. You know, one of those days with NO HUMIDITY. What can any bride ask for more?
But to top it off, they had their South Florida Wedding at the spectacular Hyatt Regency Pier 66. Nothing beats the view of downtown Ft. Lauderdale then having your wedding at the Hyatt’s Pier top. What a view! We had the most incredible sunset, which created the most amazing background for their photos.
As a South Florida wedding photographer, it does not get much better! Ashton and Trevor had the ideal wedding and we are truly grateful to be their choice of photographer to capture it all.
Tracey and Shane tied the knot in a beautiful and private ceremony at the Parkland Golf and Country Club. Their closest friends and family took part of this wonderful celebration full of emotive moments and lots of fun too. Rain is always a concern for everybody this time of the year but fortunately the couple had Mother Nature working with them the whole time. There was a gorgeous blue sky that allowed me to capture some amazing moments before and during the ceremony.
At the reception the couple shined on the dance floor officially opening it for everyone to start the party. The centerpieces and the ambient lights, created by Dalsimer, gave the room an atmosphere that was so beautiful and romantic. It was such a wonderful day and one that the newlyweds will surely remember for the rest of their lives.
My grooms are the luckiest guys in the world. Ok, the brides are too. But, the grooms, they have it made! After all, what is more beautiful than a bride in her wedding gown?
I knew that Katie was going to look stunning when she stepped into her dress (after all she was already gorgeous), but OMG! It was easy to see why Dean was so blown away when he first saw her.
Their wedding was at The Parkland Golf and Country Club. It is one of my favorite South Florida wedding venues. Not only are we the preferred photographer there, but also only 5 minutes from my studio! With its Tuscany setting, it is an amazing location for wedding photographs and certainly worth looking at, if your in the need of a reception site.
Katie, being the creative genius she is, had the illustrious idea to put photos of the various locations (the she and Dean traveled too) on the guest tables of her reception. I assisted her to put the names of each location on the photo, which was used in place of the traditional table numbers.
Later that night, in Dean’s speech, he brought up the significance of the locations and what it meant to them. It was inspiring to hear him bring up doting memories of special times, with extraordinary friends.
I can only hope that on their next occasion, there will be a photo of the wedding day, with my name on it (as another eminent memory and story).
We love to write on our blogs about our client’s events and sometimes even the little things we do throughout the week, but when someone else uses our images for their blog, we feel another sense of accomplishment.
We attended a professional meeting, called South Florida Meeting Professionals International, last week. Oh, I happen to be the VP of Administration for the chapter, too.
And, at this event, we took photographs for the chapter, the speaker Jo Kling, CEO of Landry & Kling Cruise Events Services and Seasite, as well as for Carnival Cruise Lines, aboard the Imagination. The theme was “How to Plan Out-of-the Box meetings. There was a record turn out and the event was a huge success.
You can check out our photos and the rest of their blog at http://www.seasiteblog.com/2010/09/how-to-plan-out-of-the-box-meetings/
Ok, this blog will pretty much sound like it’s coming from my feminine side (yes guys we have one), but there is just no other way to write it.
It must be because we both (Jackie and I) new instantly that I had to shoot their wedding day photography. I have to admit, when she brought along her son, Christian, I was hooked for sure. Not only is he the cutest little boy, but intelligent, most well mannered and polite. It was great to have him there planning the day with us, and I knew that the emotions would be flying on the actual wedding day.
And to say that, is an understatement. At every moment, there was something to tear up about. Maybe it was when Christian was watching his mom get ready or maybe the first few photos they did together. It was just an awesome day for any South Florida wedding photographer.
There is nothing that I like better than to capture the emotion of the day. With this day, it was non-stop. I will never forget walking with Gino, telling him how beautiful Jackie looked, and seeing the expression in his face. There is no doubt that this family has a lot of love to spread.
When the two came together, there were tears shed from us all. I just love the shots of Christian looking at his parents. When it came to the ceremony, those shots of him were priceless!
It was truly a dream come true day, from the fabulous shots at the W Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale all the way through to the pictures on the Midnight Sun Yacht. The hardest part for me, was saying goodbye.
Congratulations Jackie, Gino and Christian. I am so lucky to have met such a wonderful loving family and excited about sharing more special days in your lives.
There is nothing that I enjoy more than spending the day with my friends. And the only thing that can top that would be if it were the most special of occasions. What can get better than a South Florida wedding? It was such a great day to be with Teona & Ebano, on their wedding day.
Teona, who I have worked along side on many wedding events, works at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66, as the Banquet Captain. She does an amazing job making the event run like clockwork. A perfect event, every time!
I could only imagine how she would be able to let go and enjoy her own wedding. But she did, and the day was perfect in every way. Not only was the weather flawless, but they also had one of the most amazing South Florida ceremony and receptions in Ft. Lauderdale.
We had lots of fun and laughs taking the photos and even more emotional moments throughout the day, like the first time they saw each other. I had the best time being with them and their Hyatt family and can’t wait to share all their amazing photos with everyone.
