Ok, I can’t get that song out of my head, “Me and Mrs., Mrs. Jones”.  How funny that, that was the song that Jen & Mike Jones walked into their reception to. If that doesn’t tell you how fun these two are, then I don’t know what will.  A great sense of humor and just the nicest couple, this wedding was yet just another perfect day.

It all started at the Delray Beach Marriott, where the girls were getting ready.  When I first walked in, I was immediately drawn to the gorgeous bouquets that were on the table.  They were made up of hydrangea, star gazer lilies and fuchsia roses, created by Xquisite Events!

Anyone who reads my blogs, knows that I love the kids.  Jen had the cutest flower girl, Zoey, who loved to watch me get the shots.  I walked in to Sponge Bob on the TV, which gave me an opportunity to warm up with Zoey.  For the first hour, I kept asking her if it was Sponge Bill, short pants??

After the girls got all dressed, I took our staff over to the church, St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Delray Beach, and met the guys.  Mike was so calm and ready to get married.  We shot some casual shots and then got ready for the ceremony.

St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Delray Beach is a beautiful church and quite convenient for anyone planning a wedding at the Delray Beach Marriott or a Delray Beach Wedding.  The ceremony was flawless, with family pictures that immediately followed. There was a little gap in the day, which is not uncommon of a Catholic wedding service and nighttime wedding dinner reception, which gave us the opportunity to get bridal party and couple shots.

The Delray Beach Marriott is an amazing venue for variety and interesting locations.  As a South Florida Wedding Photographer it is certainly one of my most favorite venues.  Even on a rainy, dreary day, there are just enough corners to find to create an aesthetic setting.

We had a great time with the group and were able to get the couple done in enough time to enjoy their cocktail hour, something I highly suggest to all our clients.  What a better time to say hello, meet the relatives and have a cocktail or two.  Not to mention, the hor devours at the Delray Beach Marriott are to die for.

The reception room was designed to look like a Winter Wonderland! Jen chose a white and ice blue color scheme. The tables had small, medium and large centerpieces strategically placed to draw your eyes through the room. The centerpieces had blue hydrangea and white cymbidium orchids. Rock candy and blue LED lights were also used to represent the ice.  Blue up-lighting added the finishing touch to tie in the wintery theme, again all crated by Xquisite Events.  I love working with them and especially the incredible Emmy Thornbrough, she is such a professional and all her brides lover her so!

It takes a great team to make a perfect affair, and I have to give credit to the glue of this entire team, Jessica Smith.  Jessica, the Catering Event Manager of The Delray Beach Marriott, was so on top of everything, which no one could have asked for a better evening. Our bride, groom and guests were certainly cared for.

From grand entrance to the final goodbyes the night was beyond compare.  And as a final touch to the evening, our thoughtful Bride and Groom had Jones soda bottles with their photo on the label, as a departing gift.  Alls I can say is, “Me and Mrs., Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones……..”

When I first met Christy and Mark, I knew that their wedding was going to be amazing.  They both had such a great vision and outlook.  They were relaxed and focused.

What could have been a rough start to any day (bad weather), turned out to be quite the opposite.  Although we could not take any photos outside, we had some artistic opportunities to take advantage of other areas, at the Hyatt Bonaventure.

Christy was not upset or nervous.  She just had a great time with her girls and family and it certainly showed in her photos. After getting some photojournalistic shots of the girls preparing for the day, we head out to the church and met the guys.  I was immediately greeted by Mark, who was smiling and very calm.  We had some fun with the guys and then led them off to their waiting room.

I went to check on Christy and took a few shots of the girls just hanging out having some laughs, then back to the groom to do the same.

Their ceremony was awesome and how could it not, as St Bonaventure is such a beautiful setting for a South Florida wedding ceremony.  We had beautiful lighting to work with and were able to unobtrusively capture some great moments of their ceremony. Once done with the family formals, we head back to the Hyatt Bonaventure to take some photos of the bridal party.  Luckily we know how to take advantage of the most unique backgrounds and settings, which made for more interesting and different shots than the norm.

The reception room was truly a vision; incomparable by anything I have ever seen.  The centerpieces were not the same old piece after piece, but three completely different suites of custom accented candles, mixed floral designs, with unique heights and texture. The room was further enhanced by strategically placed lighting, which created the most enhancing depth and color.  This room was a photographers dream! I know you are dying to know who was the master designer behind this phenomenal creation, none other than the spectacular Noel Brown of Medallion Occasion Boutique.

The evening was a complete hit, from beginning to end, with a little tradition of a dance with umbrellas, thrown into the mix.  The Hyatt did an outstanding job with service and food was absolutely delicious.  We are so happy for Christy & Mark and wish them the best life together.

Jaclyn looked so gorgeous when I arrived at her room in the Boca Raton Resort to start pictures.  And she was surprisingly perky considering it was 8am!  After slipping into her beautiful Alfred Angelo dress we headed downstairs for pictures around the grounds.

I met up with Nick and his groomsmen at The Addison for some quick shots before the ceremony.  There was not a dry eye to be found when Jaclyn walked down the aisle.  After a very moving ceremony the guests enjoyed cocktails while the family and bridal party had some fun taking group shots.  The guys even had worn some special attire for a shot with Jackie.

The reception started with a fantastically choreographed first dance.  The Addison provided amazing food and the band was great.  Jackie’s brother even joined them on guitar for a couple of songs.  Jackie and Nick could not have asked for better weather or a more beautiful day for their wedding.  Everything was perfect, down to the vintage Rolls Royce they made their getaway in as newlyweds.

I knew when I first met Tiffany & Rob, that their South Florida wedding was just going to be amazing.  All the elements just lined up.  They had a great date picked out, nice size bridal party and great vendors.  Add all that to the most laid back bride & groom and you have the perfect mix.

When I met Tiffany at her Coral Springs house, she was just finishing up with her make up.  She smiled at me and said “we are right on time”.  All the wedding planning we did, certainly paid off.  The girls had a great time getting ready and were not rushed a bit.  We shot pictures of her beautiful dress from Bellissima Bride, one of our most favorite South Florida bridal shops, and all of Tiffany’s accessories. Her mom helped her with her jewelry, as the girls watched her from behind.  Tiffany had the cutest flower girl, which I was told was rather shy. However, she seemed to open up to my camera lens quite often.  I think there is a potential here for my new company “Rent a Flower Girl”.  When the limo came, it was off to the church we went.

When I first saw Rob, I thought he was a little nervous.  But once I told him how calm and relaxed Tiffany was, I think he let out a big sigh of relief.  We kept him occupied till he relaxed a bit and then the ceremony began.  Having the right people around you makes all the difference and with the help of Rev. Larry Bergstrom, the Broward County wedding ceremony was right on.  He always does such a great service and we love working with him at First United Methodist Church in Coral Springs.

After the ceremony, we went to Parkland Golf & Country Club.  Lately, this seems to be my second home.  Three weddings in a row!  We love working there with Karen Meyers the Catering Director and Nancy Salvatore-McNab the Event Manager. The Cocktail Hour was spectacular as always with a new pasta station, that I was told to try.  Honestly, one of the best I have ever had!

The guests were brought into the reception by Jimmy Jam Productions.  Jimmy, one of the best entertainers I know, was flawless and had the guests dancing all night long.  You just have to love being around such professionals. It was hard to leave such a great party.  Tiffany and Rob truly had the perfect wedding and thanked us so many times throughout the day.  “Thank you” Tiffany and Rob for having us share the day!

For me, this wedding was like being part of the family.  Having known Joy for a few years now, I was so excited to hear the news that she was getting married.  I knew that she had many friends and colleges that were photographers, because she is a planner herself.  So when she asked me to be her Miami Beach wedding photographer, it was a real compliment to our company.  Now I am not just her friend, but also her wedding photographer.

Joy, I mean really, that says it all. She is a joy to work with, a real joy to be around and such a happy bride.  Gabriel has some of his own ideas, which you have to give him credit for, as most groom just want to show up.   He wants to be involved and not only cares about his wedding day, but truly loves his bride.

We started the day in Miami Beach at the Hotel Victor.  What a great choice to get ready and definitely what I would expect from Joy.  The hotel is so well decorated and perfect for photos.  I found a bright red wall just before the elevator with a window seat.  Framed by two red tiled pillars, it made for a real artistic setting to our shots.

Once we finished at the hotel we took off for Nikki Beach, where the ceremony and reception was to take place.  When I first walked in I saw the most amazing setting for the dinner.  Outside under the trees, where hints of sparkling lights, breathtaking floral centerpieces, candles and ornate tablecloths.  The décor was like looking into a Martha Stewart magazine.

As I walked further back, I saw the ceremony being set up.  Without any surprise I was equally amazed.  Joy and Gabriel put all the right touches in all the right places.  The ceremony setting was awesome!

You know that you have the perfect bride and groom when something goes not as planned and they just laugh it off.  Just as the girls are coming down the isle, in what was a rainy cold front type of day, (no not rain) wind, and a big gush at that.  So strong that it took the entire chupa nearly three feet off the ground.  It was with record timing that their guests jumped up and held it tight, for the remainder of the wedding.  Both Joy and Gabriel laughed, as well as most of the guests.  Hey, what a great moment to stand out among the norm.

But this was not your typical type run of the mill wedding.  Joy (our great planner) put together a spectacular night.  After the ceremony the guest had cocktails and hors devours followed by a fantastic buffet dinner, all outside under the stars.  The salmon was to die for!

And if that was not enough, everyone went upstairs to Club Nikki for desert and dancing.  There were ice-cream cupcakes and numerous birthday cakes (Joy is so thoughtful) for all her friends and family celebrating their birthday.  The desert was soooo good.  Café-Ala-Cart served their delicious cappuccinos.  No one has better!

It was hard to say goodbye, as you just did not want this night to end.  But, the coach buses were outside and ready to bring the guests back to their hotels.   If you ever want to plan a wedding to the most intricate of details, you have to give Joy a call.  I don’t know if she will ever be able to top her wedding or if she wants to plan anyone else’s wedding, but she can plan a party for me anytime.

My first experience with Courtney and Todd was when they came in to meet me at my South Florida Wedding photography studio in Parkland. We spent over an hour planning their day and getting to know each other.

We hit it off right a way and found our chemistry to be perfect together. It was like we had been friends for years. Although I was not the photographer scheduled to shoot their wedding day, I told them that I would be more than happy to shoot their Deerfield Beach engagement sitting.

As if it would have gone any other way, we just had the best time shooting their wedding engagement sitting at Deerfield Beach. I knew that they kept wishing I was going to be the one to shoot their Parkland wedding, and I guess I wished that too. If only the couple I was personally shooting would change their date.

Well, as luck had it, that couple did change their date. As soon as I got the call, I contacted Courtney and asked the silly question “ do you want me to be your wedding photographer?” I wished I was there to see their reaction, but my guess was that they were very happy. We just got along so well, something so important to picking the perfect wedding photographer.

The actual day could not have been any better. The weather was great, from what was supposed to be a rainy day and everyone was so perfectly on time (including the flowers). Courtney looked beautiful and had bridesmaids that all looked like they belonged on a magazine cover, which definitely made my job easy.

I was immediately drawn to her flower girl, Danielle, who was the most precious thing. Yes, I am a softy for those cute little girls. Just watching her father, watching his little girl throughout our photo ops, was a huge thrill. We shot the girls at Parkland Golf and Country Club, one of my favorite venues because of its Tuscany architecture, not to mention its five minutes from my studio. We shot images against various backgrounds including a stone tower. The Botanical Gardens made the most perfect background for the girls to stroll through, with great wedding photojournalistic shots!

Finally Todd showed up to meet his bride. We told him that Courtney was dying to see him, which set his heart into overdrive. Their first look was amazing and could not be any better, with Todd nearly running to put Courtney into his arms. It was an emotional moment for us all.

Next we set off to the main clubhouse where we shot the bridal party and groomsman. Followed by the ceremony, which was held outside on the Event Lawn. The picturesque setting was a true delight to their guests as they watched the sunset over the fairways.

Cocktail hour was full of delicious hors devours but when it came to the dinner reception, Parkland Golf & Country Club did it with style. Karen Meyers, Director of Catering, together with her Banquet Captain Nancy, created the most mouth-watering buffet with more food than one can imagine. The night was a huge success with music by Mike Sipe Entertainment. As I am writing this blog (almost finished) Courtney & Todd came in to meet my Office Manager, Tiffani, to pick up their wedding images. Yes, that is edited images in less than a week! I was on a conference call and missed out on seeing them.

So Courtney & Todd, when you read this, I just wanted to say “thank you” for letting me be part of your day. Your friends and family are awesome and your generosity, greatly appreciated!

I knew that Brian and Katie’s Boca Raton wedding was going to be nothing less than spectacular, right from the get go.  Having photographed their Deerfield Beach engagement sitting, I had a chance to get to know them both.  Brian was so much fun and words; well they can’t really describe how beautiful Katie is (inside and out). We had a great time at Deerfield Beach and caught some really great shots.  I am so grateful to be the South Florida wedding photographer that they chose.

The wedding ceremony and reception was at my second home, The Boca Raton Resort & Club.  We started off with Katie and the girls getting ready for the day in the Presidential Suite, how nice!  Once everyone was dressed we strolled through the hotel finding just the right backgrounds to shoot against.  Katie looked so beautiful and had the most gorgeous bridesmaids.  It was like photographing models!

When I first saw Brian, on the wedding day, you could see the anxiety in his face.  He could not wait to see Katie.  He paced back and forth a bit and probably did not hear a word I was saying.  It was like, “hey, get me to my bride already”.  Without any delay we set up the most incredible location for their first look.

Katie came walking around the path and right into Brian’s arms.  They were like two magnets coming together.  It was not difficult at all to capture their emotions; they were as obvious as their love for each other.

Next, we got the entire bridal party together on the Croce lawn.  Their entire gigantic bridal party!  We had some funs shots with them walking to the camera, etc. and then off to main hotel for their Katuba signing.

The ceremony was extremely elegant with the most gorgeous chuppa by Petal Productions.  Raphi did an amazing job on the flowers and made my artistic shots complete.  My only regret was that the Rabbi would not allow photographs at the ceremony (at all).  I hated to have the bride and groom miss that completely, so I snuck a few shots off at the end of the isle without any flash.  No one knew (please don’t tell).

The reception was held in the Royal Palm Ballroom at the Mizner Center.  With the assistance of Ivette Savoie, the Director of Catering for the Boca Raton Resort, the reception was perfect.  Katie & Brian truly had the flawless wedding!  The ambiance, the décor, the food, the cake (what a cake), and great music – they could not have asked for more.

I can’t wait for them to see all the great shots and all those magical memories.  I know that they will have a great heirloom wedding photography album and always remember how much fun they had on their wedding day with us.

My day started off at Kathy’s parents home, where the beautiful bride was getting dressed for her wedding. I arrived a little early to get myself situated and started my first set of photos shooting the bride’s gown and accessories. The dress was very elegant and had a corset in the back. The bridesmaids were all busy helping Kathy get into her dress. They also helped with the jewelry and veil. Everyone was so full of excitement! It was now time to leave for the church so Kathy could finally see her groom!

We arrived at All Saints Catholic Church and Luis was there ready to start with his portion of the photography with all his guys. They all looked sharp in their tuxedos! Father Emmanuel got everyone in place and we were now ready for the bridal party to start the procession. Kathy look very radiant coming down the aisle with her dad on her arm. Her gorgeous bouquet was designed by Flowers by Ralph. The ceremony was short and very sweet. They both had special vows they said to each other. Most of their guests were in tears! Father Emmanuel blessed the couple with an ending prayer and then pronounced them husband and wife! It is always a pleasure to witness that start of the rest of this couple’s life together!

Kathy and Luis looked so happy coming down the aisle. Everyone was rejoicing with the both of them. We then gathered the families and started our family formals session. After the formals, we headed for the China Grill at Ft. Lauderdale Grande. There we did some fun shots with the newlyweds and their bridal party. We had some large yachts that we were able to use as our background for a couple of shots!

After we were done with the pictures, Kathy and Luis decided to join their guests for the remainder of the cocktail hour. There, I captured the bride and groom mingling with family and friends. The We were expecting a cold front that night but the weather was perfect! The reception room was decorated very nicely by Flowers by Ralph. There were beautiful centerpieces on the tables and the Restaurant had their finest china on display! Eddie, the grooms cousin, supplied the entertainment for night. He did a phenomenal job entertaining the all of the guests! At the end of the night, no one wanted to leave because the night was perfect!

Kathy and Luis, we wish we both lots of happiness in your new endeavor and thank you for allow us to be part of your special day.

I met Raquel in her suite where she was having her hair and makeup done. We shot all of the getting ready shots with her and all of her beautiful bridesmaids. Raquel’s dress was very elegant and her golden shoes were to die for!

At our final consultation, we decided to photograph Raquel and her girls on the grounds of the beautiful Parkland Golf and Country Club. We got some gorgeous shots by the waterfalls. Just as we were about to wrap up the last shot on the grass in front of the cascading waterfalls, a baby diamond back rattle snake began chasing us from the spot where we where! It was snapping its jaws and jumping out at us; it wasn’t stopping until we left that area. With all the commotion with the snake, we had to take a five minute break. It was a very funny thing to see the tiny snake trying to snap at us.

The first look that Jay had of his gorgeous bride was magic! They were so happy to see each other and Jay looked so mesmerized when he saw Raquel. She looked absolutely stunning! We are so blessed to have the opportunity to capture that special moment with our cameras.

The Ceremony site was decorated with amazing flowers by Daniels Events. They did a phenomenal job on the Arch with assortment of flowers and beautiful wrapped linen. They also did an excellent job with Raquel’s bouquet. Rabbi Eli and Father Howard started the procession and performed ceremony with both the Jewish and Christian tradition vows. It was a very heart moving ceremony. At the end of the ceremony, Jay broke the ceremonial glass with his foot sealing their marriage together and both headed down the aisle ready to start their new life together as husband and wife.

The Parkland Golf and Country Club ballroom was also well decorated with large floral arrangement on each table also done by Daniels Events. The room was lit with special uplighting that gave the room a warm and romantic feel. This was done by Parkland Golf and Country Club. Ryan from Mike Sipe Entertainment started the evening off with the introductions and went into the Hora. The first dance between the newlyweds was wonderful! You could see the love they have for each other. Ryan also invited the rest of the guest to join them on the dance floor and it was filled with lots of love and laughter. Everyone was having a blast dancing, drinking and mingling with Raquel and Jay for the rest of the evening.

Raquel and Jay, it was pleasure working with you both on your special day and we wish you both nothing but the best.
