I met Raquel in her suite where she was having her hair and makeup done. We shot all of the getting ready shots with her and all of her beautiful bridesmaids. Raquel’s dress was very elegant and her golden shoes were to die for!
At our final consultation, we decided to photograph Raquel and her girls on the grounds of the beautiful Parkland Golf and Country Club. We got some gorgeous shots by the waterfalls. Just as we were about to wrap up the last shot on the grass in front of the cascading waterfalls, a baby diamond back rattle snake began chasing us from the spot where we where! It was snapping its jaws and jumping out at us; it wasn’t stopping until we left that area. With all the commotion with the snake, we had to take a five minute break. It was a very funny thing to see the tiny snake trying to snap at us.
The first look that Jay had of his gorgeous bride was magic! They were so happy to see each other and Jay looked so mesmerized when he saw Raquel. She looked absolutely stunning! We are so blessed to have the opportunity to capture that special moment with our cameras.
The Ceremony site was decorated with amazing flowers by Daniels Events. They did a phenomenal job on the Arch with assortment of flowers and beautiful wrapped linen. They also did an excellent job with Raquel’s bouquet. Rabbi Eli and Father Howard started the procession and performed ceremony with both the Jewish and Christian tradition vows. It was a very heart moving ceremony. At the end of the ceremony, Jay broke the ceremonial glass with his foot sealing their marriage together and both headed down the aisle ready to start their new life together as husband and wife.
The Parkland Golf and Country Club ballroom was also well decorated with large floral arrangement on each table also done by Daniels Events. The room was lit with special uplighting that gave the room a warm and romantic feel. This was done by Parkland Golf and Country Club. Ryan from Mike Sipe Entertainment started the evening off with the introductions and went into the Hora. The first dance between the newlyweds was wonderful! You could see the love they have for each other. Ryan also invited the rest of the guest to join them on the dance floor and it was filled with lots of love and laughter. Everyone was having a blast dancing, drinking and mingling with Raquel and Jay for the rest of the evening.
